Naturebuilt’s approach to design is based on your building site and the way you plan to live in that space. Natural features of the site are often used in the design to promote a more energy efficient and visually pleasing living experience. We work with a variety of architects and designers, each specializing in their own unique building styles and materials. Working closely together through planning and design phases, we’re able to incorporate our decades of experience into the design phase, resulting in the most cost-effective and creative solutions for your project. We strive to incorporate energy-efficient building practices into each design, leveraging passive solar elements and building practices to create a comfortable, beautiful home that will last for generations.
CRAFT

Naturebuilt is a handcrafted builder specializing in projects of unique design and utilizing natural building materials. Our choice to take on only a few projects per year allows us the opportunity to put our skills, knowledge and care into all parts of your project. Being hands-on craftsmen, we have full control of our building practices, beginning to end. We also have full control of our building materials — many of which we create from scratch or source from artisan crafters. Our dedicated team constructs the structure from not just sustainably sourced supplies, but from abundant local and regionally available natural materials. Whether it’s a full timber frame or log structure, a post-and-beam construction, or a conventional build, we put our skills, experience and labor-of-love dedication into each and every part of your project.
BUILD

-We begin construction of your home only after all planning, engineering,permitting, material and product selections are completed and agreed upon.
-Being a cost-plus builder, we are transparent about all aspects of your project’s pricing. No hidden mark-ups or surprise charges. We typically charge 10-15% of the total project for our services, based upon project complexity.
- We handle all our own framing and general construction. For specialty tradework (such as masonry, electrical, and plumbing/heating), we work only with proven, top-notch partners, most of whom we’ve worked with over many years, even decades. We don’t shop around for whoever is available. We insist on the same level of quality and take the same pride in the construction of your home that we do.
